Our team

Andy & Margaret Kinnecom

Margaret and I started Swipe for a Cause, a First Data Independent Sales Office, after experiencing some personal loss. We wanted a mechanism to consistently give back to hospice, an organization that supported us through some very difficult times. The residual income payment processing provided allowed us to do this.

My introduction to the industry came through a friend, a VP at First Data. His business card read: “We suck, but we’re the best.” It was honest—and I went in with my eyes open.

From the beginning, we believed we could build a better kind of payment partnership—one grounded in responsiveness, accountability, and real service. And for years, we did.

But as we grew, it became harder to deliver the level of attention that had defined us from the start. We were still doing our best, but it wasn’t the same.

Then a conversation changed everything.

One of our largest clients told us he wouldn’t even consider other offers from our competitors. He knew with us, he was a priority. When he reached out, we responded quickly, and with answers. He had worked too hard to become just another name on a list.

That was a defining the moment. After 16 years in the industry, we made a decision to build something more focused. A concierge-style payment company designed to deliver a platinum level of service to every partner we work with. We already had the team to do it. Allow me to introduce them to you.

Founders

Greg Caldarone

Greg had worked for several years in the payment processing industry when we met him.

From the outset, he embraced a simple philosophy—earning the business is only the beginning; maintaining the relationship is what matters most.

Over time, as his portfolio grew, so did the challenge of delivering that level of service consistently.

Anchor Platinum, changed that by limiting the portfolio and offering him the right support structure It allows Greg to focus on what he does best—building strong relationships and delivering responsive, tailored service.

President/CEO

Alan “Dutch” Kerr

Alan joined us early on, when we were just getting started in payment processing.

He has grown alongside the company, playing a key role in shaping how we operate today. He helped set the tone for our philosophy—if a business needs it, we find a way to make it happen.

That goes back to the early days, when he once helped a merchant who called to say she was stuck in the snow and needed a ride to work. Alan has plenty of stories like that.

Now based in Alabama, Alan leads our expansion efforts there, focusing on bringing in businesses that align with the Anchor Platinum model.

His experience and consistency remain an important part of our team—and the relationships he builds with his clients go well beyond the initial sale.

Chief Operating Officer

Billy Ashman

Billy ensures our partners remain ahead in a constantly evolving payment landscape.

He is continually evaluating new technologies and identifying more efficient ways for businesses to process.

Just as importantly, he has a strong ability to listen—often recognizing a business’s needs before they are clearly defined.

His calm, methodical approach is a key part of his effectiveness. Even in complex situations, he finds solutions quietly and efficiently.

Chief Technology Officer

Ted Emerson

Ted joined Anchor after a long and successful career developing national marketing campaigns.

His background brings a level of discipline that aligns closely with how we operate.

As he puts it—nothing exposes a bad product faster than great marketing. If you’re going to make a promise, you have to deliver on it.

That mindset defines his role here.

With an intentionally limited portfolio, Ted knows we can stand behind everything we say—consistently and without exception.

Ted also happens to know his wine. He’d be happy to prove it over lunch.
